Shri Swarnakarshana Bhairava Sahitha Aishwarya Lakshmi Kubera Dhanasthirathva Maha Homam

A rare Maha Homam invoking Swarnakarshana Bhairava together with Aishwarya Lakshmi and Kubera — performed for Dhana Sthiratvam: not just earning wealth, but making it stay. Conducted on the auspicious Sravana Friday at the sacred Kanchi Kamakoti Shankara Matham premises in Srisailam.

Wealth is not only about earning — it is about retaining. Many people earn well, yet money never seems to stay: it drains away through debts, losses, delays and unexpected expenses. The Dhanasthirathva Maha Sankalpam of this homam is addressed precisely at that — the stability and permanence of wealth.

Swarnakarshana Bhairava ("the Bhairava who attracts gold") is one of the eight forms of Lord Bhairava, and the only one worshipped in a peaceful, golden, wealth-bestowing aspect. The Rudrayamala Tantra tells how, after the long war between the devas and asuras, even Kubera — the treasurer of the gods — and Goddess Lakshmi were left impoverished. On Lord Shiva's guidance they worshipped Swarnakarshana Bhairava, who appeared and showered gold from his four hands, restoring the prosperity of the heavens. To this day he is invoked when wealth has been lost, blocked or unstable.

In this Maha Homam, Swarnakarshana Bhairava is invoked alongside Aishwarya Lakshmi (the bestower of abundance) and Lord Kubera (the guardian of treasures) — the complete trinity of wealth in the Vedic tradition. The homam is performed strictly according to Vedic procedure in the sanctified premises of the Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Shankara Matham at the Shaiva kshetra of Srisailam, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga kshetras, on Sravana Sukravaram — the most auspicious Friday of the year for Lakshmi worship.

Latha Jandhyala personally performs the sankalpam for every participant with their name, gotram, rashi and birth details, alongside the Vedic pandits of the Matham.
